MLB announces investigation against Pete Rose for gambling on this day in 1989

On March 20, 1989, baseball announced that Pete Rose was under investigation for gambling on the sports. The former Cincinnati Reds player and manager would ultimately be found guilty of betting on baseball and was banned from the sport for life.
