Black History Month: Frank Robinson, the first Black manager in the MLB

Frank Robinson became the first Black manager in Major League Baseball as player-manager of the Cleveland Indians in 1974 after playing nearly 20 seasons in the league. Though he finished his coaching career at with a record of .475, he is regarded as a legend in the sport. Robinson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982, and even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom from George W. Bush in 2005. Robinson died on February 7, 2019.
