Dale Earnhardt Sr. killed in Daytona 500 crash 23 years ago

In a last-lap crash at the 43rd Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Florida, NASCAR great Dale Earnhardt Sr. collided with another car, leading him to crash into a wall. After being removed from his car and taken to a hospital, he was ruled dead due to head injuries.
