Disney buys Pixar for 7.4 billion dollars 18 years ago

On January 24, 2006, Walt Disney International and CEO Robert A. Iger announced the purchase of animation studio Pixar for 7.4 billion dollars. By 2006, Pixar had become a movie giant, with films including Toy Story (1995), A Bug’s Life (1998), Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), and The Incredibles (2004).
Together again. Toy Story Land opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Florida. Friday's event included a surprise guest appearance by actor Tim Allen, who is the voice of Buzz Lightyear.
